Fairytale Festival (Grades K–2)

10 a.m.–Noon
Princesses, heroes, magic and adventure: fairytales have it all! Come explore the elements of literature through fairytales at the museum. Retell familiar tales and maybe hear some new ones. Learn what makes a fairytale special. Discover the roles of setting, character, and plot in good storytelling. See artifacts from the Museum’s Collection celebrating the fairytales beloved by children generation after generation.

Fairytale Forensics (Grades 3–5) (Virtual)
Students will hear a forensics expert describe their work, then explore a virtual crime scene. Following this, students will use tools to practice collecting evidence from their own mock crime scenes. Details
